The South West is undoubtedly the greatest region in Britain, full of great talent and determination to deliver for where we live.
As Chair of the Great South West in Parliament, I’m constantly championing everything we have to offer and I’m proud that we have the government’s backing.
In our part of Devon alone, we’ve had major government investment announcements this year including the green light for a new railway station in Cullompton, £15.7 million from the Levelling Up Fund for Exmouth, £20 million for the Sidmouth Beach Management Plan and funding for a new school to replace Tipton St John Primary confirmed.
It was great to discuss securing further investment into the region with Ahmed Goga, the newly-appointed Director of the Great South West Partnership. I’m looking forward to working alongside him so we can unlock the South West’s full potential.
