It was fantastic to welcome the Prime Minister to our part of the county today, meeting with local residents from across Mid and East Devon.
During a discussion with Cullompton residents at the fantastic Fordmore Farm Shop, we celebrated the government’s announcement of a new railway station for the town. I also raised my campaign for the new relief road to come before any new houses in the town.
The Prime Minister then joined me in Sidbury for one of my regular roundtables with local farmers and the NFU to discuss the nation’s food security. It was great to have Devon and Cornwall’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Alison Hernandez, join us to discuss the work she’s doing to tackle rural crime.
I’m working day in, day out to ensure our voice is heard in Parliament. The Prime Minister’s visit today demonstrates that Devon is being heard.
