My team and I have been out having thousands of engaging conversations on the doorstep across East Devon.
Exmouth, Sidmouth, Ottery St Mary, Cranbrook, Broadclyst, Budleigh Salterton, East Budleigh, Farringdon, Sidford, Sidbury, Whimple, Clyst St Mary, St Loyes, Sowton, Newcourt, Topsham, Talaton, Clyst Hydon, Lympstone, Woodbury, Newton Poppleford, Aylesbeare, West Hill – and everywhere in between.
I’ve welcomed the Prime Minister to try our local produce at Darts Farm; the International Trade Secretary to an award-winning vanilla paste exporter in Farringdon; the Communities Secretary to Exmouth to unleash more investment for Exmouth high street; the Health Secretary to Topsham, who is fully behind strengthening our community hospitals; and the Vice Chair of the Party to Ottery St Mary on the daily campaign trail.
Yes, we’re going to get Brexit done. But we also know that in this election there is a real risk of a hung Parliament and Jeremy Corbyn in charge. Corbyn would wreck the economy and cause more dither and delay, propped up by the Scottish nationalists.
Most importantly, I have heard your views and what your local and national concerns and needs are.
I’ve listened to your priorities and I’m delivering for East Devon:
-
Work with the Health Secretary to invest and expand our community hospitals in East Devon
-
Boost our economy by securing up to £20 million to transform Exmouth High Street
-
Fully respect East Devon’s democratic decision in 2016 and see us deliver Brexit, because we need to build a brighter future for Britain together – and ultimately heal the division.
